Description
The Palisade Historical Society’s monthly history talk at the Ordinary Fellow Winery, 202 Peach Avenue in Palisade, will be “History Talk & Creative Writing Open Mic” hosted by Trish Hopkinson, local poet and literary advocate. She will share poems from early issues of The Palisade Tribune, talk about how The Palisade Tribune has inspired her latest poetry project, and where you can access past issues online. This will be a special creative writing open mic event for attendees to share their favorite poems or stories on the history of Palisade. Come 15 minutes early to sign up for the open mic and share your own poem or story inspired by the history of Palisade! Readers will have up to 3 minutes to share their work. Not interested in sharing? Join us in the audience, and support those on stage! The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24th at The Ordinary Fellow Winery. This program is open to the public in a relaxed and comfortable setting for people to learn about Palisade’s unique history and enjoy a glass of wine. The tasting room opens at noon, so come early. There is free admission, but donations are appreciated.
