Jeff Pieper has been working in horticulture on Colorado's Western slope for over 10 years. After being a horticulturist in Eagle County, Jeff moved to the Grand Valley to work on peach production systems and complete his Ph. D. in Horticulture at Colorado State University. In his current role, Jeff is the Tri-River Area Commercial Horticulture and Natural Resource Specialist for CSU Extension. The split duties allow him to work with tree fruit, vegetable, and nursery growers while also teaching Native Plant and ethnobotany classes. For the talk, he will discuss the History of the Extension in Colorado and Mesa County and current program offerings. The talk will begin at 6 pm on Thursday, August 21st at The Ordinary Fellow Winery. This program is open to the public in a relaxed and comfortable setting for people to learn about Palisade’s unique history. Free admission; donations appreciated. Be sure to come early to get a seat!
